The focus is on the security area, where you are responsible for managing, setting requirements for, and developing the university's security systems, routines, and working methods. You collaborate closely with the Security Manager, Occupational Safety and Health Coordinator, Gas and Chemical Coordinator, Local Planners, and other support functions as well as with external actors such as emergency services, police, and security providers.
Examples of Responsibilities
- Manage and develop the university's locking, alarm, and access systems (e.g., ASSA Clic, ARX, and access cards).
- Be the requirement setter and purchaser in procurement of security services, security systems, and fire protection solutions.
- Participate in fire protection rounds, training, and SBA work.
- Coordinate and order security technical measures in construction and local projects.
- Provide advice and support in physical technical security, access management, and personal safety.
- Develop routines, governing documents, and training materials within the security area.
- Follow up and analyze security incidents and contribute to continuous improvements.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Relevant university degree in security, risk management, fire protection, civil protection, or equivalent competence that we assess as equivalent.
- Several years of experience in security work in larger organizations, preferably in the public sector or academic environment.
- Good knowledge of physical security, including locking, alarm, access, and surveillance systems.
- Ability to work both strategically and operationally and lead development work within security and fire protection.
- Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
Meritorious
- Advanced training in security protection, physical security, crisis and continuity management, or systematic fire protection work.
- Experience in systematic fire protection work (SBA).
- Experience in procurement and requirement setting of security technical systems.
- Knowledge of building fire protection and fire technical installations.
- Experience in collaboration with authorities such as the Police Authority, MSB, or Emergency Services.
Personal Qualities
You are analytical, structured, and communicative with the ability to build trust and collaborate broadly. You have integrity, good judgment, and a genuine interest in safety and fire protection issues. You enjoy driving development, creating order and clarity, and seeing the big picture in complex environments. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.
